Direct Taxes
Direct taxation in India broadly refers to the Income Tax and Wealth tax laws which involve personal tax, corporate tax, capital gains tax, international tax and transfer pricing.
Our team works to identify the deductions, exemptions and claims available to clients under the law. This involves a complete understanding of the ever-changing tax laws, including deductions, exemptions and claims for losses and expenses. Coupled with an understanding of the client's business and structure, tax strategies that are compliant with the law are formulated, discussed and finalized. We also recognise the fact that the tax strategy should not be overly aggressive and should not increase clients' tax risks so as to plunge them into protracted litigation.
Advance Tax
We identify the various compliance requirements as prescribed under the Income Tax law and the liabilities of clients to be discharged in time. Accordingly, our office calculates the quantum of quarterly Advance Tax.
Tax Deducted at Source (T D S)
We provide the service for preparation of electronic TDS returns and also provide the facility of filing the TDS / TCS returns, e.g. Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q, 27QE, which need to be filed in time based on the business structure of the client. The prevailing Income Tax Act has also placed the liability of taxes to be deducted out of payments to be made on account of various expenses, and such amount is required to be paid into the treasury at regular intervals.
We offer services in each of the above mentioned areas of tax and regulatory compliance.
Tax Strategy and Compliance
Our endeavour is to formulate tax strategies that are compliant with the law.
Our tax teams constantly monitor the development of jurisprudence, statutory pronouncements and amendments in tax laws which invariably have far reaching consequences on clients' tax strategies. Our knowledge plays a role in tax planning, advisory and compliance services. Our regulatory compliance services assist clients with tax-law compliance.
Draft review note. Ethics #2–3: tax-bill optimisation, reduction and litigation/compliance outcome promises replaced by lawful deductions/exemptions/claims and compliant-strategy wording. The warning against overly aggressive strategies is retained. “Utmost care”, “ideal” and “pivotal” softened.
